M/V PEREGRINE

The vessel Peregrine was built by Munson Boats - the world's most experienced manufacturer of high-performance landing craft.  She was specifically designed to be the ultimate coastal expedition vessel.  At 30-feet long and made from marine-grade, welded aluminum, the Peregrine is big enough to provide a safe, comfortable ride in the more exposed waters found along the west coast of Baranof Island, but still small and nimble enough to explore the area’s countless shallow passages and coves.

Accommodations aboard the Peregrine include a spacious, heated cabin, very comfortable seating, and wrap-around windows that allow unobstructed viewing in every direction.  Even the restroom has an excellent view!  The large open-air deck is located forward on the vessel to provide the best possible vantage point for viewing & photography during approaches to wildlife and other sights, and there is a landing craft-style bow door to allow easy beach access.

The Peregrine can accommodate a party of up to 6-guests, plus a 2-person crew.  She is outfitted with all necessary navigation & safety equipment and meets or exceeds the standards of the US Coast Guard’s Safety Inspection Program.  There is a collection of field guides and high-quality binoculars aboard, and before every outing the vessel is stocked with a variety of sweet & savory snacks and a cooler filled with ice-chilled sodas, juices and bottled water.
